Östanå Castle
Over two centuries of history
Östanå Castle in Österåker is one of Uppland's most beautiful estates, dating back to the 18th century. The estate was laid out in a magnificent baroque park with ancient maples and oaks, surrounded by deep beech forest with the castle as its backdrop — a landscape that has barely changed in centuries.
The characteristic white Granary from 1792 is today home to Restaurant Vin & Vänner. With its dark shutters and rough stone walls, the building has served the estate for over 230 years, carrying a history you can feel in every wall.
In 2025, the restaurant opened its doors and gave the historic Granary new life — with food, wine and joy in a setting where history is never far away.
